New Year's Eve on the Water

There's a version of New Year's Eve that involves a countdown clock, a cover charge, and a crowd of strangers you'll never see again. And there's the version where you're anchored in a quiet Exumas cove, the water lit up gold by the last of the sunset, with exactly the people you chose to bring with you. Our New Year's Sail is built entirely around the second version.

Trading the Countdown Clock for a Sunset

Our New Year's Sail is one of our signature curated group events — open to solo travellers and couples alike, and capped at four guests so it stays intimate rather than turning into a party boat. We spend the final days of December working our way through the Exumas by day, then anchoring somewhere calm and beautiful for the countdown itself.

No resort ballroom, no assigned table, no midnight scramble to find your group in a crowd. Just the deck of the boat, good company, and a sky full of stars that are dramatically easier to see away from Nassau's lights.

What the Night Itself Looks Like

We keep the structure loose because the best part of New Year's on a boat is that nobody's watching the clock the same way they would in a bar. A slow dinner on deck, music, a premium bar package if you want it, and a countdown that ends not with confetti cannons but with the quiet strangeness of being surrounded by dark water and a sky doing all the work.

"Best New Year's I've ever had, and I've done Times Square. Nothing beats champagne on a catamaran with people who actually want to be there."

If you're travelling solo, this is one of our most popular events for exactly that reason — you'll spend the days beforehand getting to know your fellow guests over swimming stops and sunset cocktails, so by the 31st you're not ringing in the new year with strangers.

Planning Ahead

New Year's is, unsurprisingly, our most requested date range of the season — right alongside Pride. If you're thinking about it for this year or next, the earlier you reach out the more flexibility we'll have on exact dates and whether you'd prefer to join our scheduled group sail or book the whole boat privately for your own crew.
