Short answer: November through April. That's peak season in the Bahamas, and it's the only window we operate in — for good reason. Outside of it, hurricane season and unpredictable weather make chartering a much bigger gamble. But "peak season" spans six months, and each part of it has a distinctly different feel. Here's how to pick your month.

When's the Best Time to Sail the Bahamas?
November – December
Early Season: Fewer Boats, Building Energy
November and early December are our quietest, most under-the-radar weeks — the trade winds (our namesake amihan) have kicked in, humidity has dropped, and you'll share anchorages with far fewer boats than you will in February. It's a great window if your priority is solitude and calmer water.
Late December shifts entirely as the holidays approach, building toward our New Year's Sail — one of the busiest and most celebratory stretches of the whole season. If you want the party energy, book this window; if you want quiet, aim for the first three weeks of the month instead.
January – March
Peak of Peak: Best Weather, Highest Demand
This stretch is the sweet spot for classic Bahamas weather — consistently dry, low humidity, average temperatures around 75–82°F, and steady trade winds that make for genuinely great sailing. It's also, unsurprisingly, when the most people want to book, especially around Spring Break in March, which draws a younger, higher-energy crowd to our group events.

If your dates are flexible, January is often the best-kept secret of the season — post-holiday, pre-Spring-Break, with weather just as good as February but noticeably quieter anchorages.
April
Late Season: Pride Sail & the Last of the Calm
April closes out our season and is home to our Pride Sail — a celebratory, community-focused event timed around the broader spring Pride calendar. Water temperatures are at their warmest of the season, the weather is still reliably dry, and there's a noticeably festive energy to this final month before we close for the summer.
Because it's the last window of the year, April books up early. If Pride Sail is on your list, treat it the way you'd treat any other in-demand travel date and reach out well ahead of time.
